Last month my actress sister, Shannon Christine Whitten, and I competed in the 48 Hour Film Project, San Diego. Teams are given 48 hours to create a short film that must include a specific character and line of dialogue. Each team is also assigned a genre.
Writing through most of the night, and then revising the script as complications arose while filming on a fishing boat the next day, was a whirlwind of an experience. It was a wild weekend with not too much sleep, but it was rewarding to have a completed film by the end of it. At the screening, our film, “#boattrip,” won audience choice!
